Aaron- It began in an Indiana Jones type fashion. There we
were; boarding what looked to be a hand-carved wooden boat, with a young Muslim
man named Amalin, who only understood some English. Our contact had tried
desperately to be invited to this village many times before, but could not get
the opportunity. She had boldly been sharing her faith in Christ with Amalin
since she met him at her school a few years ago, and now, for some unknown
reason, God opened the door wide open for all three of us to stay in his
village two full nights and days. A village that has never housed two white
American Christians. What was God going to do, we wondered? I was excited , but
anxious, and a little nervous to find out. We paddled through trees and
vegetation, and just as the sun appeared through the trees a village emerged
into view! Hundreds of families living on well built stilted houses; mostly all
Muslim. A boat was the only way to travel from house to house. As we traveled
down the river road to the young imam's house many came out of their homes to
see the aliens visiting their hidden village. We would wave and yell, "
Salamu alekium!" (peace be upon you in Arabic) and their stares were
instantly broken by smiles and waves back. As we pulled up to Amalin's house
the whole family, 20+ people, were waiting for us to arrive. They welcomed us
dearly as we departed from the boat. " This is it," I thought ,
" Who knows were we are on a map? This is truly as far East as it gets,
but God is with us, and Christ is in us. We're more than fine." We were
welcomed to the back edition of the house were there was a beautiful layout of
bamboo floors, and large wooden posts, and a view that made one think they were
in an island paradise. This would be the room where we would eat, sleep, and
spend most of our time talking with Amalin. The family spoke no English, but
the language of smiles and offerings of much food is universal. We sat down
around a mat, and out came the plates of rice, fish, cucumbers, soup, and the
family as if it were a great parade. The men and women watched us tentatively
as we ate all that was set before us. We tried to express our gratitude in
sounds of contentment and smiles. They seemed to understand because as soon as
our plate or bowl was empty they would push another plate towards us, laughing
as they saw our faces grow in astonishment and full bellies. We spoke through
Amalin as his understanding would allow and much joy was felt. The women
instantly took in our contact, who was also thanking God for this open door.
She would remain with the women throughout our stay and became like family at
the end of it all; even praying over one of the sick Muslim women. As we were
feasting the brother-in-law, Sophina, wasted no time in asking if we were
Muslim. There was a second of surprise in the air as we were not expecting the
question so quickly, but we no doubt knew it would come eventually, so we
confidently, but respectively said, " No, we are followers of Isa."
He smiled and said, " Christians." We smiled and said, "
Yes." He was very kind to us after that, and kept asking how to say
certain words in English, but I could tell he wanted to know more about Isa and
why we followed Him. After feasting the women set up blankets and pillows in
the middle of the room and Amalin invited us to rest which we gladly accepted.
It was a very peaceful sleep. Once we awoke the men invited us out to go
fishing with them! We gladly accepted, and were back into the boats! These were
strong men who had a certain vigor for life. I imagined many of them acted like
the disciples did, those who were fishermen. Many laughs were had, but few fish
caught. Amalin was watching us closely, and laughing with us. When we returned
to the village dinner was waiting for us. We once again sat down to a grand
feast! The women crowded around once again watching us fill our bellies and
offering more, exclaiming, "Si bye! Si bye!" meaning eat more rice,
eat more rice! After once again over filling our stomachs we sat with the men
and tried our best to communicate. They were a kind hearted people and enjoyed
spending time with us. Amalin was intently watching our every move, and I asked
many times what was on his mind, but he would not say. I told Jed later that i
think he had a lot on his mind and there was battle going on there that he
wasn't sure how to fight for he has seen much of our joy and love. Two things
that I'm not sure he was expecting to see from us. He never really asked too
many questions concerning our faith in Christ, but I know they were there. When
we left this morning I felt compelled to give him my shawl that I had bought
earlier in the week. He told me earlier that he had one and lost his; so just
before we left I said, "Amalin I want to give you this,as my friend, in
the name of Isa." He said the most sincerest thank you I have ever heard,
and though that was at the end of our journey in his village, Jed will tell you
of our day at the mosque, and our second full day of experiencing God's open
doors! The seeds have been planted; the watering is the Lord's.

Jedediah--- Creation, what a lovely place to start with talking about God. A place where people can see their beginning, where they can see who they were meant to be, where they can see the purpose intended for all creation. As we have been visiting the prison, we would usually always have a different group of inmates during the morning and afternoon bible studies. As Aaron spoke for our morning group, he gave a detailed bible lesson on the beginning of mankind, and the separation that followed. As he spoke, there was an eagerness in the men and women (Yes women were in this prison also) to take notes and learn more. Since we had 2 hours for each bible study class, the "plan" was for him to do a lesson on the beginning and separation, and then I do a lesson on the life of Jesus. But as he was wrapping up I felt that God wanted to do something different in that moment. "Aww, a story, God wants me to share a story of a person I met, and maybe just so they can relate, hmm, God give me a story, remind me of a memory I can share." These were my thoughts, right before it was time for me to speak. As I got up to share, I told everyone that the lesson Aaron gave us was enough for today, that it showed us now the even greater need of a Savior in our lives. I didn't even know yet in my mind what story I was going to share, but I knew God was wanting a story, so I told everyone that now I was going to share a story, and right then God told me what to share, and guess what? It was the time I accepted Christ into my life...After I shared this and more of the Gospel message that Jesus has brought to this world, I felt God wanting me to ask them all if they wanted to follow and live for Jesus now. I just knew God was moving at that time, even just in one lady who had tears in her eyes as she listened. Over 20 prisoners raised their hands, and joined in a prayer of telling God that they wanted to repent and follow Jesus in this life, and accept our great Father's love! What a blessing to see, men and women, growing up with no knowledge of Jesus in a land called Cambodia, put into this prison mostly for murder, now declaring that Jesus is God, and accepting the love of our Creator. God is good! Thank you so much for your prayers, and keep them coming, because there are still many who have not heard the best news in the universe!---Aaron and I will be going to a floating village for a few days now, so keep us in your prayers and pray that God moves mountains in this land. I love you all and love your encouragements. "IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS"

Jedediah-- "And God saw that is was good", this was a phrase that many prisoners heard while sitting in a small shack-like learning room. Dirt on the floor, wooden benches to sit on, surrounded by many other prisoners walking around in the courtyard of a Cambodian prison. "Creation, everything we see around us made in 6 days. Made with a purpose for Man and Woman to enjoy while being in a beautiful relationship with God, the Creator, the only One that matters and who also gave them dominion over it." Wearing their blue uniforms they were excited to be there. Bibles out and ready, with a smile on their face, they were here for a reason, even if they didn't fully understand it yet.
"But then, Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit, the world changed, and there was now a great separation in their relationship with God, which has been passed down from generation to generation to this very day." While Aaron was speaking about Adam and Eve, I would just smile and look around at their faces, knowing that God was speaking to them, knowing that God has called them to be His children, and right at that very moment He was again holding out His hand, telling them to come back to their true Father, their Creator, the One and only God. Just like in the days of street witnessing, me and Aaron would go tag team style in the bible studies that happened throughout the day at the prison. "But Even though we turned our face on God, He did not abandon us to ourselves, instead He sent His only Son, Jesus, to this world to show the way back to God, back to our loving Creator." We told them to read the book of John to learn more about Jesus, our Savior, and that we would talk more about His life the next day. After this we thanked God for the opportunity to come here and talk of Him.
We hopped in a Tuk Tuk, which is a cart type vehicle pulled by a moped, with our amazing Contact that I can't share too many details about, except I will share that their heart for God and their willingness to sacrifice ALL for Him is a blessing, a breath of fresh air, a warrior of this land that I am glad to fight with. On our way back we decided to stop by a floating Vietnamese village along the Mekong river. Because of the huge flooding that been going on here, their floating houses were very close to the road. Me and Aaron waved at a family with our faithful young brother PakWa, and walked a long thin plank of wood, to get from the road onto their floating house, hoping to not fall in the river. We met a nice family there who invited us in their bamboo style 1-room house, and we all sat down and talked with them. We didn't mention Jesus in this conversation, hoping to first become people they can be comfortable with on a relational level, since we westerners are quite different on just about every level! We told them we would be here for a month, and hopefully would come and visit them again. Among other things, this was another amazing day, in the distant land of Cambodia.
Prayer requests:
1. Family at the vietnamese floating village
2. All the prisoners. For most of the month we will be daily speaking with them, pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself more there
3. Continued favor with the Warden of the prison
4. A pouring out of God's renewing joy for the missionary staff we are working with
5. Our 3 day visit to a Muslim village will take place soon, ask God to prepare hearts and pour His Holy Spirit on them
6. Continued strength and grace for Aaron and I as we hear from God and pursue sharing Jesus

Aaron- I sit at a local coffee shop with storm clouds approaching like a vast army over the shadow of the grand and golden buddhist temple; recently caught on my camera. Why did God bring me to Asia, I wonder? That question would be in the back drop of my mind throughout the rest of the day. Jed and I spent the first few hours of our morning riding along the Mekong, greeting many as we rode by, and in constant prayer over the people, the country, and our purpose here. The people of Cambodia are kind and full of wonder. Many starred at us as we rode by; yet as soon as a smile or a Kmer phrase flowed from our lips their faces filled with joy! A little girl was even encouraged to walk over and speak with us. She said a few English words and ended with a joyful I love you. The Lord wants Cambodia for Himself; for He knows Cambodia would have endless joy if He were welcome. The Spirit of the Lord is roaming these streets waiting for the temples and the idols to be no more so that the Lord may surely dwell in this place. After lunch with dear brothers and sisters we headed off to a church service in the flooded area of the Mekong. We pulled up to a building with doors open wide and people singing praises to the Lord that could be heard throughout the village. Once inside we realized the majority of those voices were young teenagers. They were dancing and laughing and passionately singing in one accord. Asian believers filled with God's holy fire, as one song proclaims! They welcomed Jed and I lovingly. After hearing a powerful testimony from a native California brother Jed encouraged the church with his words of strength and encouragement, again I wondered why God had brought me to Asia. I wanted to say so much, but nothing came out. After talking with Pastor Ron from California, and other brothers and sisters we left filled with the spirit of joy and strength, wanting everyone in Cambodia to experience the same! We had a lovely dinner and some prayer time before heading to bed. Jed and I met in our room for some thoughts on the day and prayer. I told him that I had been wondering why God had brought me to Asia , and I was reminded of why God brought me to Africa four years earlier with Jed. Out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the stars and a fire God told me He loved me, really; truly told me. Far away from home amongst things and people's I didn't know; where there was no distractions and my mind was solely on Him. I feel God has brought me to another far away land to say " I love you, and I have a purpose for you, but you must get over yourself." I feel God has brought me to Asia to reveal Himself anew and to change my way of thinking in regards to my relationship and purpose in Him. The Muslim people are on my heart and mind, and I feel the day to minister to them is fast approaching, but in order for Christ to be most glorified I must decrease, and He must increase. As I type this the call to prayer is going off in the mosque across the river, and the joy of the Lord fills my heart; for our God is greater, and He shall overcome the powers in this land, and we shall be united with Christ as one family. To God be the glory in Asia!

Jedediah---- I walked to the bathroom, turned on the water, enjoying for the first time in awhile that it was a cold shower. Almost before I leave the bathroom the sweat just starts pouring again. "Yah", I say to myself, "This is Cambodia Fo Sho!" As I walked upstairs of the center the staff lived at and which would become our new home at different times throughout the month, they had our names written on the doors with a welcome card on our beds. With warm greetings they welcomed us into their missionary lifestyle. We travelled by bus for 4 hours to get here in Kampong Cham. The only downside of the bus ride was perhaps the nonstop Asian karaoke videos, but hey, that's what mp3 players are for :)! I'm so glad though to be back here with friends. I already feel like I'd love to move here and set up shop as a long term missionary, but wherever God leads, I'm just thankful to be back and can't wait to see lives on fire with His loving joy He has for us in this life. After a dinner with our family here, they took out their guitar and I took out my djembe I brought, and we just had an awesome time in our Dad's presence! It is always amazing how singing worship songs can just so easily bring Gods joy into the room. I am so thankful for Gods love to us, to this world, and I know He just wants to constantly share more of the love, more of Himself to us! Keep us in your prayers. Already many opportunities have come to encourage and share Jesus, and on Monday we will be going to the prison, where we will spend the majority of our month giving bible lessons and talking all about the Savior, Jesus. God is good, always!

Aaron---
My first morning in Cambodia was spent with my Father. I opened my devotional to today and this is what God had in store for me to read since giving me the desire to join Jed on this venture months ago. May God speak to your heart as he spoke to me as I read this....
AS THE FATHER HAS SENT ME, SO I SEND YOU.
-John 20:21
"After His resurrection, Jesus sent us all out to do what He did and He gives us His authority to do it:" All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go" ( Matt. 28:18-19). Why else would He have given us His authority if we were not suppose to use it? The attitude of so many Christians today is anything but fierce. We're passive; acquiescent. We're acting as if the battle were over, as if the wolf and the lamb are now fast friends. Good grief- we're beating swords into plowshares as the armies of the evil one descend upon us. We've bought the lie of the religious spirit, which says, "You don't need to fight the enemy. Let Jesus do that." It's nonsense. It's unbiblical. We are commanded to " resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We are told, "Your enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him" (1 Peter 5:8-9). "Fight the good fight"(1 Tim. 1:18); "Rescue those being led away to death"(Prov. 24:11). Jesus has won the victory over Satan and his kingdom; however, the battle is not over. Look at 1 Corinthians 15:24-25: "Then the end will come, when he Jesus hands the kingdom over to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet." After He has destroyed the rest of the enemies works. Until then, He must reign by bringing all His enemies under His feet. Jesus is still at war, and He calls us to join Him."
- Knowing the Heart of God by John Eldredge. Pg. 273.
---
After many more minutes in the presence of the Lord we went with our contact to the temple on a hill, a Buddhist temple richly enshrined with golden statues and incense on a high hill where many come to pray. As Jed and I entered the temple many were praying and placing offerings of food and money on the idols. We quietly prayed and proclaimed the name of Christ as we walked around the temple. Our reflection time continued as we visited the genocide memorial. Our contact and dear sister in Christ respectfully refused to join us; as the emotional pain is still felt from those dark days in Cambodia. As Jed and I saw countless images and disturbing photographs we thought, is this how the end times will be for the church? We both agreed that it would indeed be this way; a genocide like the world has never seen, but we also agreed that the church will be stronger than ever. With pockets of believers encouraging each other towards the prize that is soon, very soon, ahead in those days. A thought that brought joy to us both amidst the sorrow. This is day one in Cambodia. Praise be to God now and forevermore, and His risen son Jesus Christ who supplies endless joy and hope amongst darkness.

AARON- Our physical journey has begun, and God has already proven His faithfulness. His mercies are indeed new everyday. Our spiritual journey for this mission began last night in the presence of the Lord, and I am indeed grateful for all those who were present that sang, prayed, and exclaimed their hearts to Christ Jesus! It was a powerful time, and the Spirit of the Lord filled the sanctuary with richness in song and praise. I have never been more ready for battle than now, and though our battle is not against flesh and blood I had a vision of a great beast rumbling across the ocean, and the Spirit of the Lord going forth; unwavering, across that ocean to face that beast. Victory is our destiny, and this is only the beginning. To God be the glory now and forever.
-------------------JEDEDIAH- Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." After a worship time last night with our church in Daytona Beach, Florida, I feel the power of the Holy Spirit just burning inside of me, craving to show God's amazing wonders to a lost world, to open their eyes to the Christ, Jesus, our Great loving King. So many words of encouragement were spoken over us that it's just all a blur now. That night God just had me repeating these lines,"It's all about You Father. It's all about You God. It's all about You Jesus. Thank you Dad. Thank You Lord. Holy Spirit move in us. Holy Spirit fall on us." I just found myself mainly repeating these lines, all throughout the night. God spoke to me hugely, that nothing else mattered, but Him. That I didn't have to worry at all about how our mission trip to Cambodia would turn out, because the Holy Spirit WILL move in us. All I simply needed to do, was tell people, that it is all about JESUS, and God will do the rest.

A Journal Entry From Tanzania in 2007...
(At a school in Tanzania)
"The language barrier is tough, I began to think that in America I don't even share the Gospel with others that speak English! My word on this trip is the "MISSION", the big picture, I need to live every second serving God in everything I do. I'm thinking more about mission trips actually, funny, but wouldn't it be awesome to become a missionary?"
That was the trip that God used to imprint the word "MISSION" on my heart, and give me the desires to go out into this world and proclaim Jesus to those who have not heard of the Savior.
Where has this "MISSION" brought me to now??
To a land called Cambodia...
In around 2 weeks, on September 29th, I leave for 1 month to Cambodia, to share Jesus with those who have not heard. Preaching the Gospel in the Prisons, encouraging fellow Christians, and Preaching Jesus to villages in the countryside..This is "MISSION"
*But I need YOUR help to make this happen*
*I need to raise $1,500 more to be able to do this mission trip...Within 2 weeks! I need it all in by September 27th.
Please email me if you would like to support this "MISSION", and give Cambodia some Jesus!

Mission: Cambodia

I remember the first night we arrived in Kampong Cham. We
had to stay at a hotel for a night until our main lodging place was
ready for our arrival, so that night our team walked outside to check
out the dining area that was setup. While walking around some Cambodian
men in uniform waved me down to come join them at their table. With
smiles on their faces, glad that I came over, they handed me a beer and
did a cheer with me. I sat for awhile and joined them, not being able to
speak much with them at all, I just smiled, observed, and did a toast
with them every minute it seemed. But I could see it in their eyes that
they were so desperately wanting to drink their misery away.
Was it because of memories they had in their civil war? The people they
may have killed or tortured. The family members they lost? I sensed
their pain, and it only brought me to realize all the more the pain and
emptiness people feel in their lives without knowing the only true love
found in this world, Jesus.
This night opened up my time here seeing all that could be
done, all the potential for ways of telling Cambodia about Jesus, that
wasn't being done. While there I heard of so few missionaries in this
land. More than 98% of people in Cambodia follow lies, mainly because
they have no one there telling them the truth and sharing the gift! I
feel so much for places like this. The truth is, there are whole
villages with people working on the sides of mountains, farming crops
season after season, year after year, who still have not heard of the
name of Jesus. This is a people that are waking up each day without
having the knowledge that our loving creator longs for the day they
accept Him as Savior. Let's share with Cambodia the gift of love, Jesus!
HoPE Is oN The HORIZON...
tHe MISSION Has BeeN sET!
A country with a history of sadness, spiritual
darkness and civil war. A country that is filled
with temples and statues of buddha in every
town. A country where more than 98% of the
people do not know Jesus as Savior! I will be
returning to Cambodia for the month of
October, 2011, to preach the beautiful gift of
Jesus to a country that still has not heard. I
will spend a week preaching to a young prison
church, a week teaching on evangelism at a
"Youth With A Mission" base, and two weeks
of reaching out to Muslim villages.
Yes this sounds exciting! But I need your help, as
the body, to send me. I still am so honored as I
remember how many of you sent me out almost
two years ago to travel for a year sharing the
Gospel. I am blessed to have family that sees the
huge importance of the mission worldwide! My
goal is to raise $3,500 for this Cambodian Mission.
This will not only cover travel and lodging, but also
will be enough to bless the long term missionaries I
will be working with to continue in their ministries.
Please join in prayer and donate to this worthy
cause.
>How can you JOIN in MISSION CAMBODIA??<
1. Be a PRAYER WARRIOR: For
the month of October pray each day for the people of Cambodia. Pray for
God to give me and my good friend Aaron Green the words to speak in
Preaching the Gospel. And I challenge you, pray for specific events to
happen on this trip, and miracles to show in sharing the hope of Jesus,
and be amazed at what God does with your prayers! I will often post
updates and prayer requests during the trip on this blog, so please keep
checking it and praying!
2. Be a SENDER: Ask God how
much you should donate. Whether it's $5, $20 or $100 it WILL make a
difference in Cambodia. Email me at Jedediah4missions@live.com if you
would like to know how to support this trip financially!
3. Be an ENCOURAGER:
Let's encourage the Cambodian church together! Send me an email with a
word of encouragement for the Cambodian church and I will share it to
the believers I meet on this journey.
God is always too good to us!!

As I met with them each day,
I would share peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a cheap meal one can
fill up on. I was also able to learn their stories...
As
for John, he was a father of a 2-year old daughter, and had a fiance up
north. He visited Florida a month ago to find work, and move his family
away from the tough streets where he used to live. But he had run out of
money, and still was without a job, so he was traveling around to see
what was up. He had a problem with drinking also. One day in the back
of my vehicle while he was drunk, he got in an argument, surprisingly
about God, with Matt and felt offended so he gave Matt a good headbutt during a short fight in the backseat,
which brought Matt a bit of bleeding on his forehead. John believed in God, and knew a
lot of scripture also, but there were still many areas of His life He
had not yet given up to God, but at least He felt convicted. After that
second day with him, while he was with me drunk and being dropped off, I
made sure to tell him that what he did to his friend was "Not Kool",
and it wasn't showing me any respect, and wasn't honoring to God in any
way. As I told him this, he had his head lowered while tears tried to
break from his eyes. He said he was sorry, and then wanted to pray with
me for God's forgiveness.
Nathan had been out of prison
for about 3 months. Prison seemed to be all he knew. As we talked he
told me he had been in and out of it most of his life, even that his dad
and step-dad were always in prison. I asked him what he was living this life
for, and he replied, "Just to survive man, just to survive, and to have
fun of course." He didn't know much of the bible, but he felt God pull
on him while once in prison, to where he even shared scripture one time
with all his fellow inmates. As we would hang out, he always seemed to
watch me in surprise, wondering how I could hang out with them,
wondering if what I had was true or just a joke. When I taught him how
to surf he was thrilled with it. We would always be talking about God,
and we did a bible study together at the beach one day, reading together
in Genesis and learning of how we humans even came to be. In this time
they seemed amazed at how God created us, even in His own image, and let
us be apart of something big.
Matt was the youngest.
Three months earlier, after he graduated high school, his stepdad had
kicked him out of the house, so he had been sleeping on lawn chairs and
wherever else he could find. He had found a shelter that helped him get a
free scholarship, because he was homeless, with the local college but
he had been kicked out of that shelter and was wondering now how he
would be able to go to college. He believed in God, but it had been a
long time since he thought of God. But as we talked and prayed
throughout that week, he wanted God to help him through his temptations,
he wanted God to change his life. When he and the others visited a
different church one night, they offered all three of them to stay at a
trailer of a man who wanted to serve God by opening up his house to the
homeless. In this time I heard about his college scholarship, and was
able to encourage him to go for it, taking it as a fresh start. So I got
to drive him a couple of times to the college for his CPT test and
orientation. He was deeply thankful, glad that he would be starting college the next semester and getting a fresh start in his life.
They would
Constantly be telling me how grateful they were and how cool I was to be
helping them, and in return I would tell them how it was all God, that
God put it on my heart to come, and all these things happened because of
His deep love. I told them I was there because of them, and that God
wanted to remind them what this life was all about, Jesus. So we talked
about God together, ate together, prayed together, and laughed together.
In the words of John, "We be family Jeddy!"
